For Pip

Effective October 21, 2026

About Pip

Pip is a personal assistant application used by Tylan Hallmark for his own accounts, messages, and home devices. Pip is not offered as a consumer service to the public, and Tylan is the person whose Google account and devices Pip is authorized to access.

This policy explains what Google data Pip accesses, why it is used, how it is handled, and how access can be revoked.

Information Pip accesses

Gmail. With Tylan's authorization, Pip may access Gmail message information, including sender, recipient, subject, date, message body, and message identifiers. Pip accesses this information only as needed to identify and surface Tylan's own messages, replies from people collaborating with him, and one-time sign-in or verification codes sent to him.

Google Home and Smart Device Management. With Tylan's authorization, Pip may access information about devices in Tylan's own home, including device names and types, thermostat status and settings, camera and doorbell status, device event information, and event images or snapshots made available by Google. Pip may also send a device command when Tylan directs it.

Authorization information. Google provides Pip with OAuth credentials and tokens so the application can maintain the access Tylan approved. Those credentials are stored on Tylan's own machines or in his own accounts.

How information is used

  • To notify Tylan about his messages and collaborator replies.
  • To retrieve and present verification codes that Tylan needs for sign-in.
  • To report the state of his own home devices and device events.
  • To change a device setting or send a device command only at Tylan's direction or under automation he approved.
  • To maintain the security and operation of Pip's mail and device notifications.

Pip does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, credit decisions, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.

Sharing

Pip does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage. Information remains in Tylan's Google account, on machines he controls, or in services he has directed Pip to use for the task being performed.

Storage and retention

Data stays within Tylan's own accounts and machines except when a Google service must process it to provide the requested mail or device function. Local working copies, logs, and device-event material are kept only as needed for the task, unless Tylan directs otherwise.

Email handled by Pip follows Tylan's seven-day purge rule. Messages older than seven days are removed from the handled mailbox under that rule, after any fact Tylan has chosen to preserve for his continuing personal records has been recorded. OAuth access remains active until it expires, is replaced, or is revoked.

Security

Access to Pip's credentials and working data is limited to Tylan and the software operating under his direction. Credentials are stored in access-controlled files or account stores on his own systems. No security method is absolute, but Pip is designed to request and retain only the access needed for the functions described in this policy.

Revoking access

Tylan may revoke Pip's access at any time through the third-party access controls in his Google Account or by removing Pip's stored OAuth credentials. Revoking access stops future access through those credentials. Data already present in Tylan's own Google account or records remains under his control.
